5-11 Campaign - Americans against
Legislation and Documentation
for a Post 5-11 America

At least 43 states have submitted legislation to oppose Real ID nationwide.  Real ID was declared "DOA" by Janet Napolitano in the summer of 2009.  24 States recently nullified the Real ID Act after passing laws against its implementation.

However, material compliance did move forward towards December 31, 2009 for incremental benchmarks and "emergency planning".  The unfortunate truth is, as long as Real ID is on the books, it passes as immigration law in the United States.

There is even more at stake with comprehensive immigration reform on the federal horizon. The issue of national identity has been transferred to Homeland Security Committees and subsequent committees dealing with labor, immigration and criminal justice in America.

For 2010, President Obama is now committed to dealing with issues of U.S. Immigration policy.

511's contribution to the national immigration forum is work to repeal national identity laws and to stop further national identity mandates reliant on expensive databases, biometrics and consumer tracking technologies.
